Trying to navigate an allistic (non-autistic) world, while remaining true to yourself?

At Wilton, I provide goal-setting for teens and adults --in addition to personal insight, emotional support, and skill-building that is autism-friendly. The goal is not to act "less autistic", but to address needs in ways that feel natural to our brains and bodies.

As autistics, we have our own unique, inborn traits and talents that help us stay well. My role is to identify what's working, to help change what isn't. Not only do we discuss and plan, we also practice. Sometimes, it's easier said than done, so let's get to the doing part, too.

I am not a psychologist, social worker, dietician, or doctor. I have a mixture of formal education and lived experience that will help me help you. I don't have the answer to every problem. I do have deep faith in my wisdom, and my ability to discover possibilities alongside you.
What We Offer
Relationship-Building
We all desire healthy and supportive relationships --whether they be platonic, romantic, professional, or otherwise. Let's identify what your interpersonal needs are and figure out how to get them met. We also focus on self-awareness and understanding boundaries.
Distress Management
Sometimes we feel like we just can't cope, but together we can discover that just isn't true! With respect to trauma, we'll examine how autism shapes our responses to stressful experiences. We will devise strategies and implement them to cope with whatever comes your way.
Sensory Healthcare
If you're autistic, you probably already know how strongly certain stimulation (or lack thereof) can affect you. Not only will we use stimming as a form of self-care, we'll also discover what types of sensory input & output are essential to your physical and mental health.
Nutrition Consultation
What we put into our bodies plays a key role in our mood, thinking, energy, you name it! Because autistic nervous systems are uniquely sensitive, we will journey together to find the foods that are best fit for you. We can even implement some meal planning and prep, too.
Spiritual Support
Sometimes being autistic is hard, especially in a society that makes little room for spiritual growth. Together, we can find and make meaning out of the challenges you face; belief in any god or fate is not necessary --only a sense of greater purpose. We will examine how your very own ancestors did this so you can practice it, too. If you like, I can even join you.
